The Chaos 'Behind Closed Doors' Pun Intended

I always joke that I thrive in chaos, but I out did myself this spring. Between planning a wedding, marrying my husband, releasing a book, and starting a new part time job, the first two weeks of April have been a blur. With all the new and fun things, I am really thankful for my ability to stay in the moment when working on each task.

During the wedding I was solely focused on soaking up everything I could, because I knew it would go fast. When working on my book, I made sure to work off a detailed to do list. I took advice from other independent authors I looked up to, making sure I had someone double checking me every step of the way. I also set strict deadlines, to keep me on track. My part time job is just a fun thing I took on just to get me out of the house, and socializing.

At the end of the day, I am incredibly thankful for my husband for his unwavering support as I chase my dreams. My close friends, for their belief in me, their time to help me edit and promote my book, and their constant affirmations. I also owe a lot to the small group of Independent Authors I have met through social media who have taken time to give me feedback, ideas, and information that made this process easier and more fruitful. It really does take a village.
